Silhouette Cameo LCD Touch Screen version was first launched last Oct. 2014 and was released in the Philippines on January 2015. A lot of awesome feedback flooded our Facebook and company email when we first launched the said product. Most of our clients who purchased our older versions of Silhouette Cameo and Redsail Cutter also bought the newest version, for no  specific reasons at all. They just love the new Silhouette Cameo!

Our first 50 units was sold out in just a matter of 8 days. New shipment arrived 2 weeks after our first launching and reservations were full. It took us almost a month for us to accommodate hands on training, deliveries and international orders as well.

Yes we did have several clients from China, Vietnam, Guam, Hawaii, Australia, UAE, Qatar and Nigeria. We even informed them that it is much convenient if they would purchase to dealers located near them for the support and warranty. They insisted to purchase from us because of our free remote training and online / phone support. 

Most of clients abroad are Filipinos working or studying. We also informed them that it will be cheaper if they purchased online like amazon. Maybe clients are more smart buyers nowadays. I came across some forums and social networking sites that recommends Tees and Prints.Though more clients prefer to purchase lower retail prices in Recto / Divisoria or Binondo ( China Town area ), lot of bad comments are about no hands on training, lack of technical support and technical knowledge about troubleshooting, no parts available for repair / replacement et. It is important to know that your dealer is an authorized distributor and service center.

Almost everyday, more cameo users who purchased from the internet or other dealers in the Philippines ask us if we can provide them hands on training and that they are willing to pay P2,500 - P3,000 pesos for that!!!  Most of my replies is to check youtube videos online that could assist them or call their dealers for support. 

Our  target were business owners of personalized printing shops locally but we were surprise of the outcome. More clients who purchased are hobbyists creating scrapbooks, wedding invitations, wedding and party cakes, interior designers, architects, professional photographers and even high school students who just love to work on arts and crafts. 

The new Silhouette Cameo has new features that includes new aesthetics and technical specifications. With its new LCD Touch Screen Digital Display, users are able to play around with its settings with just like using your mobile smart phone. You can even change its colors settings, preferences such as sleep mode, help icons and language with just a simple press on the touchscreen LCD display. End users are able to navigate its settings and other step by step tutorials as well.

We also noticed that its new steel spring rollers was perfectly designed for a strong yet gentler way to hold the materials in place. Unlike its older version, its spring roller would create roller marks on heat transfer papers and PU thermal transfers. With this new steel rollers, the only thing you will notice is its beautiful precise cutting. 

The new Cross Cutter is one of its newest feature. You can now cut materials easily after every job with a perfect edge. No more scissors or crooked cut and yes it'l save you time and money. 

The new Guide Marks is now more visible then ever. Unlike its old counterpart the new guide marks are printed in bold and is more visible. Though not much of a change but it does help new users for alignment.

Its new USB Drive Port can read and cut saved files directly from your USB or any storage device. This is best when you are travelling or when your computer is not available. 

One of my favorite is the new storage compartment. Not a big deal to other clients i spoke to but hey, having room for spare blade and crosscutter is not at all a bad idea. 

There are also new features included such as the new Sleep Mode. This option could save power. 

Pixscan Technology is also one of its newest feature. With the Pixscan algorithm, end users are now able to just take a picture or scan a photograph or image and it will automatically create crop marks for the Print and Cut function. This feature is important to those who want things done immediately. Crop marks or registration marks is important for die cutting or contour cutting. This is the guide marks printed around your designs for the Silhouette Cameo to cut. 

Technical and after sales support is a common issues we Filipinos encounter after purchasing electronic products just like the Silhouette Cameo. Before purchasing, dealer must explain to all end user / buyer about its warranty coverage, technical support and other details. It is also important for the dealer to provide hands on training to their client, though not important to other dealers as it is described as a user friendly equipment, we suggest that dealer must take time to explain ever detail of a Silhouette Cameo has to offer. It is also best to provide inputs on what other products they can create. There are limitless opportunities waiting for you with just this simple cutting tool!

If you plan to branch out into other areas of crafting at some point, you may want to invest in a sturdier die-cutting machine like Mimaki CG SR lll or Graphtec CE5000 Series 24" cutter.
